Some M-1301 Chickasaw Dawes Application Notes:

[National Archives Microfilm Series M-1301, is essentially a record of the proceedings and documents required by the Dawes Commission with respect to disputed or doubtful applicants who applied for enrollment on the various "Five Civilized Indian Tribes" Dawes Roll. The following notes are representative of some of the family information that may be gleaned from searching this series. Additionally, it is often possible to find actual microfilmed copies of original marriage certificates and other pertinent family documents. "CARD #XXX" refer to the actual Dawes Card number, while "D #XXX" refers to a series of cards called "Disputed" or "Doubtful" Cards. An applicant on the latter "D-Cards" might, after additional evidence was presented, be transferred to a existing Dawes Card or a new Dawes enrollment card.]
