Alfred died 30 MAY 1903 in Choctaw Nation, IT?, at 63 years of age.⁽¹⁵¹⁷⁾ His body was interred JUN 1903 in Folsom Cem., S7-T6S-R12E, Bryan Co., OK. He was listed as a resident in the census report on '1855' Choctaw Roll, Blue Co., Choctaw Nation, IT, NOV/DEC 1856. Alfred was listed as head of a family in a 1885 Choctaw Indian census in Blue Co., Choctaw Nation, IT, 1885. Age 45.

He was educated at Armstrong Academy. At the age of 21, he joined the Chickasaw Battalion under Col. Lem Reynolds, afterwards becomming a first lieutenant in the Choctaw Regiment, under the command of Col. Simpson Folsom. During a campaign of nearly four years, Mr. Folsom experienced active service at the battle of Bird Creek, Cabin Creek, Camden and Mazzard Prairie. After the war he commenced farming and stock raising in Blue County, close to Shawnee, afterwards moving to Bennington. During the administration of Edmund McCurtain, he was elected representative of his county in the lower house.
