159. Susan Catherine 'Kittie'⁴ Colbert (Maj. Pitman (Samuel B.)³, Col. George "Tootemastubbe"², James Logan¹)⁽¹³⁷⁸⁾ (#1944) was born in AL 10 FEB 1825.⁽¹³⁷⁹⁾ Susan died 14 OCT 1883 in Doaksville, Towson Co., Choctaw Nation, IT, at 58 years of age.⁽¹³⁸⁰⁾ Her body was interred FEB 1884 in Indian Cem., Pontotoc Co., Chick Nat, IT, near Byrd's Mill Springs.⁽¹³⁸¹⁾

She married Col. Sampson Folsom in IT, 29 SEP 1842.⁽¹³⁸²⁾ (Col. Sampson Folsom is #1977.) Sampson was born in MS, 14 JUN 1820.⁽¹³⁸³⁾ Sampson⁽¹³⁸⁴⁾ was the son of Col. Isaac Folsom and Susan 'Sukey' Underwood. Sampson died JAN 1872 nr Doaksville, Towson Co., Choctaw Nation, IT, at 51 years of age.⁽¹³⁸⁵⁾ He was listed as a resident in the census report on '1855' Choctaw Roll, Towson Co., Choctaw Nation, IT, NOV/DEC 1856.⁽¹³⁸⁶⁾ Sampson's occupation: merchant in IT, before 1872.

Col. Sampson Folsom raised the first battalion to serve the Confederates. Prior to and after the Civil War, he was sent as a delegate to Washington, to act for both Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations. He was Colonel of a regiment of Choctaw Indians in the command of General Albert Pike, Confederate General, at Camp Coffee, Missouri, in 1862.

She was listed as a resident in the census report on '1855' Choctaw Roll, Towson Co., Choctaw Nation, IT, NOV/DEC 1856. Conflicting evidence states that she died in Frisco (now Stonewall), Pontotoc Co., Chickasaw Nation, IT, 15 FEB 1884.⁽¹³⁸⁷⁾

490 iv. Isaac Folsom⁽¹³⁹⁶⁾ (#4015) was born 28 AUG 1848.⁽¹³⁹⁷⁾ He married Mary Blevens 20 JAN 1870.⁽¹³⁹⁸⁾ (Mary Blevens is #4022.) Mary was the daughter of Gus Blevens. Mary died JUN 1874.⁽¹³⁹⁹⁾

He was listed as a resident in the census report in Pontotoc Co., Chickasaw Nation, IT, 1897.⁽¹⁴⁰⁰⁾ Isaac enrolled in Jeff, Pontotoc Co., Chickasaw Nation, IT for the Dawes Chickasaw Roll on 12 SEP 1898 and appears on Dawes card number 370.⁽¹⁴⁰¹⁾

He was in the Second Choctaw Battalion under his father part of the time, and later under Col. Simpson Folsom.
