43. Susan 'Sukey'³ Colbert (Col. George "Tootemastubbe"², James Logan¹)⁽³²⁸⁾ (#1584) was born in Colbert Ferry, AL 1810.⁽³²⁹⁾ Susan died 13 JAN 1860 nr Hugo, Choctaw Nation, IT, at 49 years of age.⁽³³⁰⁾ Her body was interred JAN 1860 in Rose Hill Cemetery, nr Hugo, Choctaw Co., OK.⁽³³¹⁾

She married twice. She married John McLish circa 1829.⁽³³²⁾ (John McLish is #1348.) John was born in TN. John⁽³³³⁾ was the son of William McLish and Chickasaw Mother. John died 1838 in IT.⁽³³⁴⁾ He was listed as a resident in the census report in Chickasaw Census, MS TER, 1818.

John McLish was born in Tennessee before 1822. He resided for some time in Lewis Co., TN. Sometime before 1826, he moved to Pontotoc Co., MS. In 1837, he removed to Indian Territory.

He was a halfbreed raised and educated in Tennessee. He was evidently a son of Chickasaw interpreter William McLish, who is last mentioned in 1805. John is first mentioned in May, 1815, when Andrew Jackson wrote that he was staying at "McLish'es" on the Buffalo River. By the Chickasaw treaty of September 20, 1816, he was the receipient of a tract of land on the north bank of the Buffalo, and lived there until 1822, when he sold part of the reservation and moved to a site six miles northeast of the Chickasaw agency. He moved to Indian Territory in the fall of 1837 and died there in January or February, 1838.

She married Robert McDonald Jones 8 NOV 1838.⁽³³⁵⁾ (Robert McDonald Jones is #1585.) Robert was born 1 OCT 1808.⁽³³⁶⁾ Robert died 22 FEB 1873 at 64 years of age.⁽³³⁷⁾ His body was interred 1873 in Rose Hill Cemetery, nr Hugo, Choctaw Co., OK. Robert's occupation: Plantation Owner. He was listed as a resident in the census report on '1855' Choctaw Roll, Kiamitia Co., Choctaw Nation, IT, 1856.⁽³³⁸⁾
