His body was interred 1929 in Rose Hill Cem., Calera, Bryan Co., OK.

He married Lenora 'Nora' A. Brown 1888.⁽²⁵⁷⁸⁾ (Lenora 'Nora' A. Brown is #1650.) Lenora was born in Lucking, MO, 14 DEC 1869.⁽²⁵⁷⁹⁾ Lenora⁽²⁵⁸⁰⁾ was the daughter of Marcus S. Brown and Lavena Campbell. Lenora died 1950 at 80 years of age. Her body was interred 1950 in Rose Hill Cem., Calera, Bryan Co., OK. He grew to manhood in Mississippi. At the close of the Civil War found his father and other male kin dead. In 1868, he moved with his family to near Goodland in the Choctaw Nation, IND TER. In 1871, he moved to Rock Creek in the Chickasaw Nation, (about 7 miles due West of what is now Calera). Calera was originally named Sterrit.

841 xi. Eugene Capel Moore⁽²⁶²³⁾ (#5411) was born in IT 9 SEP 1901. Eugene died 5 AUG 1932 in Stringtown, OK, at 30 years of age.⁽²⁶²⁴⁾ Moore was a deputy sheriff of Sheriff Charley Maxwell. On Saturday night, 5 AUG 1932, they drove from Atoka, OK, to Stringtown, OK, to investigate a disturbance at a country and western dance. Upon arrival, Maxwell confronted two men drinking in a nearby car and shots rang out. Mazwell was shot several times. Moore, jumped out of his car and took cover behind it. When he rose up to fire at shot at the men shooting his sheriff, Moore was immediately shot once in the head and died. The killer was the notorious Clyde Barrow of "Bonnie & Clyde" fame.
