She married Lovard Morehead James in Marshall Co., MS, FEB 1831.⁽⁶⁴⁶⁾ (Lovard Morehead James is #1326.) Lovard was born in Wilmington, DEL, 10 JUL 1808.⁽⁶⁴⁷⁾ (Additional notes for Lovard Morehead James⁽⁶⁴⁸⁾) Lovard died after 1849. On 14 JUN 1849 L. M. James entered into a contract to sell his interest in property and land to Benj. H. Epperson. Contract filed in Deed Record Book H, page 234, Red River Co., TX.

Susan Miller Colbert and Lovard Morehead James had the following children:

282 i. Amelia M.⁴ James⁽⁶⁴⁹⁾ (#1328). Amelia died after 1853. She married James A. N. Murray before 1853. On 10 JAN 1853, Susan M. James made a deed of gift to her daughter "Amelia M. Murray, wife of James A. N. Murray." The gift was a tract of land in the town of Clarksville, TX. (Red River Co., TX, Deed Records J, page 57.) (James A. N. Murray is #23469.)
