47. Alexander 'Alex'³ Colbert (Maj. Levi "Itawamba Minco"², James Logan¹)⁽³⁵⁰⁾ (#1289) was born in Chickasaw Nation.⁽³⁵¹⁾ Written on the back of a copy of the address made by John Coffee, United States Commissioner, to the Chiefs of the Chickasaw Nation, 22 OCT 1832, was the following. "On the evening the Supplemental treaty of Pontotoc was signed, under the instruction of Major Levi Colbert, Principal chief of the nation, myself [Pitman Colbert] and Alexander Colbert, the chief's son, called on Gen. Coffee ...." Alexander died 1836 in MS.

He married Diana.⁽³⁵²⁾ (Diana is #4677.) (Additional notes for Diana⁽³⁵³⁾) Diana was listed as head of a family in a 1838 Chickasaw Nation Indian census in Chickasaw Nation, MS, 7 MAY 1838. Diana was listed as head of a family in a 1839 Chickasaw Nation Indian census in Choctaw Nation, IT, 1839.

He was listed as a resident in the census report in Chickasaw Nation, 1818. He bought property in Monroe Co., MS, 13 MAY 1836.⁽³⁵⁴⁾ He bought property in Monroe Co., MS, 29 SEP 1836.⁽³⁵⁵⁾ On 22 NOV 1832, he signed a petition to the President of the United States.

Alexander 'Alex' Colbert and Diana had the following children:

172 i. Eveline⁴ Colbert⁽³⁵⁶⁾ (#1990). She married Benjamin Stephen 'B.S.' Love 19 JUL 1849.⁽³⁵⁷⁾ (Benjamin Stephen 'B.S.' Love is #2042.) Benjamin was born in MS, 18 FEB 1825.⁽³⁵⁸⁾ Benjamin⁽³⁵⁹⁾ was the son of Isaac Love and Eliza McKinney. Benjamin died 26 DEC 1856 in Burneyville, Pickens Co., Chickasaw Nation, IT, at 31 years of age.⁽³⁶⁰⁾

Qualified as District Clerk on 6 Oct 1853 - resigned 6 Mar 1854.
