Ed McLaughlin was a gunslinger and known as a "fast gun". He was killed by some enemies who wouldn't face him, but laid in wait and shot him when he walked across a hall.

Resigned his office as Constable of Pickens Co., Indian Territory on 20 MAR 1861.
