8th The President when he deems it necessary may require any motion to be reduced to writing before taking the vote upon same.
9th No member shall be allowed to speak more than twice upon the same subject unless permition from the President.
10th All acts when passed shal be signed by the President and at least by one of the Secretaries.
11th No smoking shall be allowed in the Council House during a sitting of the Council.
12th In case of a tie vote the President shall give the casting vote.
13th But one subject shall be considered at a time and that shall be passed, rejected or postponed before another shall be considered.
14th The President shall have the power to appoint an Interpreter when he deem it necessary.
15th The President shall have the power to appoint all committees.

Sect 1 Be it enacted by the Chickasaw in Council Assembled:
That Capt Kenton Harper United States Agent for the Chickasaws be informed and requested to inform the proper department of the Government of the United States that John Pitchlynn who was enrolled as a Chickasaw Orphan under the 8th Article of the Treaty of 1834 and whose land was located and sold and the proceeds there of invested by the United States under the provisions of said Treaty is dead, and that he died intestate, leaving no wife nor child and only one Brother Hiram R. Pitchlynn who being his closest kin is entitled to inherit his estate including the [proceeds?] of sale of the land he was entitled by the 8th Article of the Treaty of 1834 [now?] in the possession of the United States pursuant to the provisions of said Treaty.
And [the Agent also be?] informed that the said Hiram R. Pitchlynn (Brother of the late John Pitchlynn) who was also enrolled as orphan under the 8th Article of said Treaty and whose land [was located?] and sold, and the proceeds there of [placed?] in the possession of the United States under the provisions of said Treaty is now twenty one years of age and in the opinion of the Council competent to take care of and manage his own affairs. The Council is also of the opinion that it would be to his interest & advantage to be paid both the amount he is entitled to as the only surviving heir of John Pitchlynn deceased (to wit. the proceeds of the sale of the land the said John Pitchlynn was entitled to under the 8th Article of the Treaty of 1834) and the amount for [which?] the said land to which he himself was entitled to under said Article of said Treaty and that the Council upon his application __?__ mends that the same be paid to him.

Sect 2 An Act regulating the duties of the Treasurer and Auditor --
Be it enacted by the Chickasaws in Council assembeled: That it shall be the duty of the Treasurer to receive all monies belonging to the Chickasaws which are not paid out as annuity, to keep same safely, and to disburse it upon the warrant of the Auditor.
He shall be required to give a bond with good and approved Security payable to the Chief of the Chickasaws, condition for the faithful performance of his duties according to Law, in a penalty not less than Fifteen hundred dollars.
He shall also keep an account of all the monies received and disbursed by him and report the same to Council whenever the Council shall require him to do so.
Sect 3 The Auditor shall audit all just claims against the Chickasaws, and issue his warrant upon the Treasurer for the payment of those which the Council may authorize to be paid, but for no others. He shall keep a record of all claims or acounts audited by him and warrants issued and report the same at least once a year to the Council, and as oftener if the Council _____?_______.
Sect 4 ______?______ authorized to purchase blank books to keep a record of the accounts and acts, at the expense of the nation.
Sect 5 No person shall be accepted by the Chief, as Security for the Treasurer's bond less the Chief be satisfied that the person or persons offered are worth the amount specified in the bond, nor then unless he of they be Chickasaws.
Sect 6 That if the Treasurer shall forfeit his bond, the Chief shall have power to order the Lighthorse to seize his property and that of his surities sufficent to pay the amount he may be in default, and sell the same for the benefit of the nation.
Sect 7 If the Treasurer elected should fail to give bond according to law, or should die, or resign, then the Chief shall have power to make a temporary appointment until the meeting of the next Council.
The Chief shall also have power of filling a vacancy which may occur in the office of Auditor, until the meeting of the next Council thereafter.

Sect 16 Be it enacted by the Chickasaws in Council Assembled:
That the Captain of the Light Horse for the Chickasaw District shall select two light horse out of his company to attend each Chickasaw Council, who shall act as Sargent at Arms for the Council, and shall be entitled to ten Dollars each for their attendance upon each Council.
Be it further enacted: That if the Captain of the light horse fail to appoint two of his Company to attend the Chickasaw Council, then the acting Chief may make a temporary appointment.

Sect 17 Be it Enacted by the Chickasaws in Council Assembled:
That the sum of two hundred dollars per annum for two years, be and is hereby appropriated out of any of the Chickasaws' National funds, subject to the control of the Chickasaws, to be paid to Hiram R. Pitchlynn by the Department at Washington. This appropriation is intended to enable him to attend two courses of Medical lectures, and is to be discontinued should he not attend the lectures.
Be it further Enacted: That the United States Agent be requested to inform the Department of Washington of the passage of this Act.

Sect 18 Be it enacted by the Chickasaws in Council Assembled:
That the Auditor be authorized to issue warrants in favor of Jackson and Maxwell Frazier for salt furnished the present Council six bushels three gallons at two dollars per bushel amounting to twelve dollars and twenty five cents.

Sect 19 Be it enacted by the Chickasaws in Council Assembeled:
That there shall be eight Blacksmith shops, all shall be open for Six months _____?_____ in each year. One shall be at Perryville, One at Widow Perry's, one at Jacks Fork, One at Morris Place, One at Loves Spring, One at Boggy Depot, One at Fushnialine, One at Glasses Creek.
That all acts in Conflict with this are hereby repealed. That this act take effect after the first day of January next.

That the auditor shall be authorized to audit the account of Widow Alberson for the hire of a Slave to the Delegation who came to look for according in 1837, and to issue a warrant to her for the sum of eighty dollars, the amount of same.
