Thanksgiving day dawned bright and beautiful, the falling leaves and the soft breeze blowing, added to the beauty of nature. About 11 o'clock a program, well rendered by the pupils was as follows:

NOV 23rd

MRS TUNA KEMP and I will go to Denison this morning. MR HENSHAW will meet us there and take us to Bloomfield. We will eat Thanksgiving dinner with our girls. ARTIE & PAUL left yesterday morning for St Louis to take in the Fair. JOHN and ARTIE are working for HUTCHIN in the grocery store.

27th

Came back from Bloomfield this evening. Had a nice time. We, I mean, TUNA and I and the girls, SUDIE, FANNIE, TRESSA & MINNIE PERRY all came over to MR JOHN WEBB Friday night. Well the girls had a fine time. We left them there. They will go back to the Academy Sunday evening.

Mrs. Tuna Kemp was the wife of J. C. Kemp.
Mr. Henshaw was the Superintendent for Bloomfield.
Sudie was Sudie Durham.
